REVIEW OF OUR PASTORAL MINISTRY

I.       CONGREGATIONAL EXPECTATIONS AND REVIEW OF PASTORAL MINISTRY

Each individual in a parish has a set of expectations related to pastoral ministry. What are your priorities in terms of your pastor’s expenditure of time and energy in the performance of his or her pastoral functions? This section of the review instrument gives you an opportunity to express your expectations and to evaluate performance on the basis of these expectations.

In the left column, a row of numbers appears. How important is each ministry function to you? Circle 1 if you think it is extremely important; 2 if you think it is import; 3 if you think it is unimportant.

In the right column, a series of “evaluation” words will appear. Circle the number which most closely describes the degree of satisfaction or dissatisfaction you feel as you measure pastoral effectiveness in terms of your expectations for each function listed. Circle NA if you have had no opportunity to observe or are unable to evaluate this function area.
